After stealing a Soviet experimental combat suit, he is recruited by the Japanese government to fight meteor-infected monsters in exchange for a dropped death sentence. He loses his limbs in battle, transfers the suit to his successor Iba, and is ultimately killed by Russian commandos, though his brain is preserved for study.
