A local woman who witnesses a man being attacked in her apartment. Carl shoots the attacker with a pellet gun, not knowing he is later murdered. She goes on a date with Carl, learns about a conspiracy involving illegal toxic waste dumping, and is kidnapped by hitmen before being nearly drowned in toxic water. She is ultimately rescued by Carl and the group.
