Protagonist who wakes from a ten-year coma with childlike mental faculties. He lives at a farm run by his father’s friend, Fujimori. He attempts to rebuild his family by reopening a pony farm and opening a milk bar. After the farm is destroyed by the man responsible for his accident, Yutaka accepts the loss, matures, and ultimately dies in a freak accident. He remains content with his life journey.
Fujimori acts as a surrogate parent and protector after Yutaka's biological family is absent.
