An elderly loner and friend of Yutaka’s father. He takes the comatose-surviving Yutaka in, provides him with odd jobs, and eventually deeds the family property to him and Chizuru. Fujimori attempts to force Yutaka into adult experiences but later helps him mature. He dies in a freak accident involving refrigerators while loading salvaged horses, leaving Yutaka content and moving on with his memories.
Fujimori acts as a surrogate parent and protector after Yutaka's biological family is absent.
