The man responsible for the traffic accident that put Yutaka into a ten-year coma. He visits Yutaka upon his awakening, offering money to resolve his guilt. Later, he works as a miserable construction worker and, driven by envy over Yutaka’s apparent success and inner peace, destroys the pony farm in a fit of rage.
