Sir John Lasher's wife. Initially trapped in an abusive marriage with her drunken husband. When Dakin Barrolles impersonates her returned veteran husband with amnesia, she is initially overjoyed. She later discovers his true identity as an impostor and bank robber after Inspector Cork returns a locket. Unknowingly assists in the gold transfer scheme, but ultimately accepts Barrolles' confession of love, agreeing to wait until the real Sir John returns from German captivity.
