A bank robber who escapes police pursuit and steals Sir John Lasher's car and locket. He enlists in the army under a false name, gets disfigured at Dunkirk, and undergoes plastic surgery to resemble Lasher based on a photo in the locket. He impersonates Lasher to rob the bank, but falls in love with Sandra. Forced to cooperate with Nazi spies, he secretly alerts Cork to stop the gold shipment, earning a government pardon.
