Initially Pirelli's downtrodden assistant, he is adopted as a son by Mrs. Lovett. Growing suspicious of Todd and the pies, he discovers butchered corpses and the Beadle's body in the basement. Escaping to the sewers, he ultimately finds Todd's razor, slits his master's throat, and leaves him to die.
